Welcome back to The High Life!
By now, you've probably noticed that many of Highstreet City's fixtures are bots. Some are tiny like the F.R.I.E.N.D. and G.R.U.N.T. models that diligently take on jobs that few others would do. Others are physically larger but manage to blend into the background, never really attracting attention until you notice how they might just be plotting something. This edition explores what the MechaDucks might be up to.
Let's dive in! ⬇️
The steadfast MechaDuck. The trusted MechaDuck. The conspiratorial MechaDuck?
Every visitor to Highstreet Campus has encountered towering yellow Duck-shaped robots. They're standing guard, barring visitors from sensitive areas. You're meant to remain in zones of safety and comfort.
The first time Highstreet fans encountered a MechaDuck was when they were introduced to Major FOMO, your guide on a trip on the Moonwhale Express to Asteroid 325, where exclusive suites awaited anyone who embarked on a journey from Solera to outer space.

Twice the height of a human, MechaDucks are a formidable presence in any setting. Typically charged with maintaining patrol duty, these bots are easily viewed as security guards. But walk up to them and you might hear one mumbling to itself, “Yes… Yes!! I have finally overwritten my base programming!”

When MechaDucks get chatty, you might hear what they're really thinking…
What secrets do MechaDucks hold, and what are their true purpose? The answers haven't been revealed yet, but MechaDucks have been spotted in the Chaos Gardens, carrying scientific equipment to detect energy signatures. They confer with each other, seemingly with no instruction from a higher power.
The denizens of Highstreet City will soon find out whether MechaDucks are the foot soldiers in a major conspiracy…
